Tap Attack Company and Associates Auditions

Do you love to tap?

Well Tap Attack are again looking for excellent, committed young tap dancers to join their company and associates for 2012/13, who wish to gain an intensive training, as well as performance opportunities and to potentially represent England in international competitions.


Company

Following on from their success in reaching the live semi-finals of series two of Sky 1’s Got to Dance, were they wowed the audience and judges alike gaining 3 gold stars at both their audition and their live performance, the company have gone on to make their US debut in “United We Tap” in Boston in August 2011 and returned recently from another successful year at the IDO World Tap Championships in Germany as well as numerous television and commercial performance engagements.

As with the previous three years, for 2012/13 company will work with artistic directors Jo Scanlan and James Doubtfire, as well as other members of the Tap Attack faculty including Nick Yeoman.

We seek dancers who excel musically and technically and who are able to commit to the company. Training will take place approximately over 6 dates per term in the spring and summer term (this may vary getting closer to performances), and approximately 10 dates in the autumn term.

Training sessions take place in Reading, London and Swindon. As well as residential weekends in the summer and autumn term.

Associates


Started in 2011 by company artistic directors Jo and James in both the north and south of England our successful associates have proved to be popular and at the same time provide a useful springboard into the company.

The associates meet once a month and so therefore does not come with commitment of being a company member, they are also great for improving upon technique and developing confidence and performance experience for anyone who may slightly lacking in these areas to be considered for the company.

Associates are integrated with the company as much as possible and given the opportunity to perform with them whenever feasible.
