Tap Dance workshops with stars from Riverdance and 42nd Street : Tap Dance in London

Tap Dance workshops with stars from Riverdance and 42nd Street.

Local tap dancers are in for a real treat this May with four of the UK’s hottest tap dancers returning to London.

Tap Attack, which is an amalgam of the UK’s hottest tap dancers and choreographers, is back for their spring 2008 event at The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, on Sunday May 11.

Formed in 2006 by Jo Scanlan and Dean Magri with a vision of providing tap dancers opportunities to experience different styles and have exposure to current trends. Travelling to different towns and cities so far to date Tap Attack have taught classes too more than 400 people. Tap Attack workshops are inclusive to all ages although guidelines are set for 10 years and over. On the day dancers are able to participate in up to 4 workshops (1 with each teacher), a unique way to gain experience in different styles.

This time the London workshop has 2 new teachers – Tarik Winston and Graeme Henderson.

Tarik Winston has appeared on Broadway in the smash hits "The Tap Dance Kid" and "Black and Blue", as well as choreographing and performing the trading taps section in world-wide smash hit Riverdance.

Graeme Henderson has just completed the UK tour of 42nd Street, where he played the role of Andy as well as being the choreographer.

Classes will also be taken by Jo Scanlan and Dean Magri.

Classes are split into age groups as well as ability.
