Tap Attack will once again return to Liverpool for a day of workshops. Taking place on Sunday 9th November at The Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre, tap dancers will be able to participate in up to 4 classes.
Along side teachers Jo Scanlan, Dean Magri and James Doubtfire, there will be a new teacher adding to the line up.
Tarik Winston, who has been regularly teaching for Tap Attack as well as being artistic director for The Tap Attack Youth Company will be taking classes at all levels.
Tarik Winston trained at the Professional Children's School in New York and has been a professional performer since the age of seven when he appeared in New York at Radio City Music Hall in "Porgy and Bess". Tarik went on to be featured in the Tony Award winning revue "Black and Blue" and "High Rollers Social Pleasure Club" on Broadway, he also played the title role in the ''The Tap Dance Kid". Tarik choreographed and appeared in London as the tap dancing star of the internationally renowned production of "Riverdance".
Between them all the teachers have a wealth of experience including starring in shows such as "Tap Dogs", "Hot Shoe Shuffle", "Riverdance", "42nd Street" as well as working at some of the country’s leading vocational establishments.
Classes are available for children and adults, (a guideline is set for children to be a minimum of 10 years old and grade 3 standard) and will be taken at elementary, intermediate and advanced levels.
