Dean Magri

Dean has been a professional tap dancer and choreographer for twelve years. He has worked extensively in TV and theatre; theatre credits include Hot Shoe Shuffle, Tap Dogs and Re –Booted, Prince Chulalongkorn in the King and I (National Tour! Sadler Wells); The Prince in Richard III; War of the Roses (RSC/Old Vic London); Douglas in Shadowlands (national tour); Gavroche in Les Miserables (Palace Theatre, London) and numerous Children’s Royal Variety Performances at the Dominion Theatre London.

Television credits include Mark in Sentence of Fear - Crimewatch (B BC); Billy in Casebook of Sherlock Holmes (Granada); William Dysan in Timewatch (BBC); Wayne Rosetti in The Bill (Thames); Charlie The Kid (Thames); Peter Jacobs in Crime Monthly (LWT); a guest appearance in Hot Shoe Shuffle on Barrymore (LWT); Talking Telephone Numbers (BBC) and The Generation Game (BBC).

He was featured in the BBC’s tap dance ardent shown between programmes daily. Dean is founder of the tap dance company Extreme Tap, which incorporates tap dance, break dancing, body popping, body slapping and a percussionist. Dean guest teaches in various vocational colleges and dance schools across the UK.

In 2006 Dean became co-founder of Tap Attack with Jo Scanlan.
